Welcome to Dear Ollie
Hey there ya'll. My name is Sara, and I'm the owner, designer, and all around Stationery Lady behind Dear Ollie. I live and work in the middle of the mitten state with my ridiculously supportive husband, our two dogs, and one grumpy cat. With the help of all four of them, Dear Ollie launched in 2014.
Our paper goods and gifts are all born and bred in our little home studio. Each design is hand drawn in ink, sometimes watercolor or various other mixed medias, then scanned and finished digitally. When you buy a Dear Ollie card, you are purchasing something that I've seen through literally every part of the process - design, printing, cutting, scoring, packaging and shipping. What can I say, I'm a bit of a control freak. All of our cards and art prints are printed in-house on paper from French Paper Co. in Niles, Michigan; a 100% hydroelectric run, family-owned paper mill.
When I'm not doodling at my desk, you can find me watching movies, eating ice-cream, listening to podcasts, and basically consuming media in any way I can. I'm inspired by nature, pyschology, and most obviously - pop culture. My ultimate goal is to make you laugh. Nothing makes me feel more accomplished then seeing folks laugh when they come by my booth at a tradeshow or market. Each giggle not only feeds my ego, but makes me realize how important these little moments are. So thank you for that 🙂
Dear Ollie is named after one of our dear pups, Oliver. He is a huge jerk, but also the snuggliest dog you'll ever meet. And I feel like that describes the sentiments here pretty well. Snarky, sassy, badass, and full of love.
