Created in 1911, the Kaweco Sport is a pocket-sized fountain pen which can be carried everywhere. It measures only 10.5 cm when closed, but becomes a standard-sized pen when the cap is reattached on top of the barrel. Initially, the pen was advertised to the well-dressed society, and sportsmen were targeted, hence the name Sport.
Different nib sizes are available for the fountain pen, from extra fine to broad. While the extra fine nib (EF) is suitable for small and delicate handwritings, the broad (B) nib is often used for large, dramatic signatures. For beginners, we recommend the nib size medium (M). All nibs are produced in Germany.
Sepp Herberger was among the most famous users. The national German soccer team's former coach used a Kaweco Sport to write down his successful tactics, which led to the World Championship title in 1954.
